Special Events and Operations Manager:
Holiday House NYC
Job Description:
Holiday House, a non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) through a series of special events and a Fall/Summer Interior Designer Show house, is looking for a motivated manager to join our team. After five successful years in NYC, Holiday House is expanding to Bridgehampton this summer to create the first ever Holiday House Hamptons. With many projects and events taking place between now and the opening of the show house mid June, we need a dedicated events and operations manager who can quickly assume responsibilities and transition into the role.
Holiday House collaborates with a wide range of designers, high profile sponsors and donors. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. An interest in design and special events is preferred.
Requirements:
-Strong writing and organizational skills with a demonstrated attention to detail
-Ability to multi-task and follow through on assigned projects
-Experience producing special events
-Team player with the ability to collaborate on a variety of projects
-Comfortable taking on new responsibilities
-A resourceful and creative leader, with a can-do attitude
-Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
-Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and WordPress preferred
Key Responsibilities:
-Conceptualize, plan, and manage 5-10 special events leading up to and during both Fall/Summer Show houses (about four weeks each)
-Create and maintain event schedules and timelines
-Oversee the Special Events Coordinator and volunteers
-Act as liaison between Holiday House and its designers, sponsors, donors, benefit committees, and The Breast Cancer Research Organization
-Write donor solicitation letters, and copy for promotional materials including e-newsletters and blog posts
-Manage the printing and production of the Show house Event Journal, invitations, signage, etc.
-Ensure website content is up to date

A recognized and award winning high end residential interior design firm, has an opening for a talented mid-level Interior Designer to join our team. 3-5 years of experience, and the candidate must be able to work within a fast paced environment. The position requires a high knowledge of the design industry and experience working in all phases of the design process from conception to completion. We require a self-motivated, hardworking, multitasking individual with a high level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
-Execute field measurements and site visits
-Perform drafting of floor plans, elevations and details in CAD
-Create concept design
-Create schematic design
-Create design proposals, schedules and estimated budgets
-Create space plans and furniture layouts
-Furniture, fabric, and fixed finish selection and procurement
-Prepare for all meetings, as well as design and complete full concept renderings/presentations for clients.

-Work with architects, contractors and subcontractors contractors throughout the entire process to see the design through to fruition

-Manage press submissions and oversee all images and portfolio
-Manage and arrange all meeting and schedules for the office
Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
-Expertise in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Photoshop and Illustrator
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to support multiple projects at one time
-An understanding of the needs of clients and the ability to manage between client and firm
-Strong written and oral communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills

Full time senior designer wanted for well known, high end, residential interior design firm. Candidate has a successful track record, experience being in charge of design staff, running multiple projects simultaneously, is self directed and a team player. Extensive knowledge of sources and trends, and proficiency in AutoCad a must. In this senior position, you will be responsible for developing and executing all aspects of design projects and will be working directly with principal of firm.

-Strong leadership, organization and relationship management skills
-Proficient with computer design programs; AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, 3D Max, as well as Microsoft Suite
